Dr. Amir Danesh-Sani, DDS, DABP


Dr. Amir Danesh Sani DDS earned his Doctor of Dental Science, in 2008.  He received postdoctoral specialty training in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry at New York University. He was the winner for the Clinical Showcase Scholarship from New York University. He also was selected as the recipient of the Award for Academic Excellence based on his scholarly activities.

Dr. Sani is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, both the American and International Association for Dental Research, The International Association for Orthodontics, and American Orthodontics Society. Dr. Sani is passionate about the specialty of periodontology and implant dentistry having a commitment to continued education provided through professional meetings and trainings. 

He has contributed to publication of 2 books and published more than 20 papers in prestigious journals: Journal of American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Clinical Implant Dentistry, Journal of Craniofacial Surgery, Journal of American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and Journal of Periodontal Research. 

He is a reviewer and editorial member of professional scientific journals having made several oral and poster presentations at national and international meetings such as American Academy of Periodontology. He believes that research plays a vital role in the enhancement of patient care. 
His specialty clinical training and academic research focus is in advanced, complicated implant and oral surgeries: bone regeneration, grafting, sinus lift procedure, ridge augmentation, atraumatic surgical extractions, site preservation, soft tissue augmentation, treatment of gum and peri-implant diseases. He has been trained in Nitrous Oxide and Intravenous Sedation that help patients to be comfortable and calm when undergoing dental procedures. IV sedation or “twilight sleep” enables patients to tolerate, without remembering procedures that may be uncomfortable. 

Dr. Sani’s career goal is putting his patients’ interest first through minimizing any inconvenience and eliminating stressors in their experience with non-evasive and efficient treatment. He is committed as a strong believer in scientific evidence-based dentistry using the most up to-date techniques, incorporating industry breakthroughs, providing the highest quality of care and results. He is bilingual in both English and Farsi.
